To solve labor shortage in the rural areas, and also to improve the efficiency of production. Various
farming machines were designed, including :
●Power cutter for trimming bamboo rhizome that can be operated by single person.
●Multipurpose crusher for farm waste that can shatter bamboo culms, branches, twigs, pastures, with
the capacity of 250~300 kg/hr.
●Shelling machine for removing sheaths from Makino’s bamboo shoot with a capacity of 1000
shoots/hr which is 6 times faster than shelling by hand.
●On-line system for non-destructive determination of sugar content in fruits, with sorting speed up to
90 pieces/min.
